Privacy Policy — VedThenics
This policy describes how VedThenics handles data. It is not legal advice.
Summary
VedThenics is a local-first, completely free practice app. There are no accounts, no advertisements, and no in-app purchases. Practice data stays on your iPhone unless you export or share it. We do not run third-party analytics and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Data we store on your device
VedThenics stores on your iPhone (SwiftData), including:
- Weekly schedule and same-day overrides
- Practice sessions, set logs, and streaks
- Skill progress and stage history
- Optional Intention, Manas, Ahara, and Dharma reflections
- Timeline events / milestones
- On-device Insights counters
- App settings (for example, local reminder preferences)
Dharma reflection text is treated as sensitive. It is never uploaded by the app.
Apple Health (optional)
If you connect Apple Health, VedThenics may:
- Read workouts, energy, exercise/stand time, heart-rate related samples, sleep, body metrics, mindful minutes, VO₂ max, walking/running distance and related running metrics, and step count — for Run Day confirmation and on-device Insights
- Write Sharira practice as workouts, and optional Mindful sessions when you complete Manas
You can deny Health access. Denial does not block core practice logging. VedThenics keeps local UUID references to Health samples; it does not duplicate your entire Health database or send Health data to our servers (there is no app backend in MVP).
Export / backup
From Settings you can create JSON and CSV backups and share them with the system share sheet or Files. VedThenics does not upload export files. Anyone you share with can see the contents of those files (including Dharma text if present).
Notifications
Local reminders are off by default. There is no remote push notification service in MVP. Permission is requested only if you enable reminders.
Analytics and tracking
Insights and counters are computed on device only. Nothing leaves the device for measurement. There is no App Tracking Transparency prompt because we do not track you for cross-app advertising or data brokers.
Accounts and children
No accounts or Sign in with Apple in MVP. VedThenics is not directed at children under 13. If you are a parent/guardian, supervise device use as appropriate.
Data retention and deletion
Data remains until you delete it in-app (where offered), clear app data, or uninstall the app. Because there is no cloud account, uninstall removes the on-device store unless you previously exported a backup. There is no server-side delete request path in MVP.
Third parties and infrastructure
Apple frameworks (including HealthKit and the share sheet) process data under Apple’s terms. The public site at vedthenics.chnkukoolwal.vc is a static marketing and legal host on Cloudflare Workers; it does not receive practice data from the app. We do not sell your personal data.
International users
Processing is on your device. Support and legal pages on vedthenics.chnkukoolwal.vc are separate from the app’s local store.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product changes. Material privacy changes that expand collection beyond Spec v1.0 require a new product decision and Spec change control.
